Samsung XR Headset's Battery Level Reportedly Leaked
If you saw the Samsung Unpacked 2023 event, you know that the company just announced a new project in the field of Extended Reality, also known as XR. What we didn’t learn during the announcement were the details of any actual physical products, which is where a new leak is coming in.

And, as GalaxyClub saw, a battery that just got regulatory approval in South Korea matches directly with a model number that has been linked to an upcoming Samsung device for the past year by the rumor mill.

The SM-I120 model of the item in issue was assumed to be a type of wearable AR/VR device. And when you add in the announcement at Samsung Unpacked and the appearance of the battery module, it looks like this hardware product is here.

Other Important Details About the Battery Specifics That Got Out

We don’t really know much about this battery leak. We don’t know, for instance, how big it is. However, it does point to a device that can work on its own without being connected to a computer or even a smartphone.

And because of that, it’s very different from the Samsung Gear VR series, in which you have to put your phone into a device. But we can expect a clean break from the VR hardware that Samsung has put out in the past.

This might not be the product Samsung was talking about at the Unpacked event.

It’s important to remember that this might not be the product that Samsung was talking about at Unpacked. This might just be a prototype for a product that Samsung is making with Qualcomm and Google. But this is still an interesting look at what the future holds.
